The History of Validage Sports ID, Inc.
The youth travel baseball industry has exploded in recent years into a robust for-profit business. This has created an incredible demand for skilled players, the formation of many new travel organizations and the recruitment of kids beginning as early as 8 years old. Major League Baseball has also made commitments to youth baseball, called their "Play Ball" initiative, by funding new initiatives to better promote the sport and make youth baseball more accessible to kids throughout the United States.
Families spend thousands of dollars each year to participate in youth travel baseball, in addition to devoting much time and energy to accommodate demanding practice and game schedules. They expect their time and money to translate into skill and knowledge development of baseball and assume their children are competing against kids within the same age grouping in a competitive environment. Unfortunately, with winning and the potential to capitalize financially at stake, some teams have been known to bend the rules in order to gain advantage by bringing in kids outside the respective age restrictions. This not only provides an edge to that team but it jeopardizes player safety when older, bigger and more mature players compete at the wrong level.

Validage Sports ID, Inc. was formed to create a real time, secure and easily accessible platform for enforcing age restrictions, validating that players are age equivalent and improving player safety and registration processes. All players should have equal opportunities for success against kids within their same age class. The Validage platform is fully intended to support this cause. Here is how it works:
1) Parents sign up by creating an account in our secure cloud based database
2) Parents create a profile for each player through our web based forms
3) Each player is assigned a unique ID and account profile
4) Upon completion of your profile and submission to the database, a player ID card will be created and sent to each family
5) The player should have this ID card available for all games - league and tournament
6) Database checks are run regularly to ensure high data integrity
